@b0gAtYr You know, it wouldn't be so bad if those types of missions were actually designed to bring the dogs back and failed. At least they could say they tried. Sending them up into space on a one way ticket, damages the achievement in my opinion. It shows the brilliance of man and what his capabilities are, but at the same time and in a more quiet way, it shows that we can still be selfish and insensitive.

@305dude1 You're right, I apologize for that. Fruit flies were the first in space, Laika was the first in orbit. U.S. isn't the best, though. U.S. still uses soviet "Soyuz" space ships and other stuff.
