This video is just to show off the basic gameplay of TA. No, I'm not one of those crazy-good players, so it will probably not be as impressive as some others out there. But if you've never seen TA before, then perhaps this may interest you. (And maybe even draw you away from an inferior Blizzard RTS . . .) This is the third part.
The game is now available on Good Old Games and Impulse, so if you want to buy it, check those websites.

  • which mod, patch, or... i don't know are you using??

    i want it

  • @thegreatmasteryuri85 Vanilla TA, including both expansions

  • I cant get my game music to play in game. In the music options its says "No Disc", and I do indeed have the game disk in. anybody know a solution?

  • @Whisper0ak The game requires that you have the cd in drive D in order to play the music from it. (If your cd drive is labeled E or For whatever, it won't work.) However, the Good Old Games version has the music without need for a cd, so if possible I'd recommend springing for that version.

  • 12 years later and I'm still in awe by how advanced this game was. It truly was waaay ahead of its time. My brand new Quantex Pentium II 350mhz with a wopping 64 mbs of memory (a $2000 system back then) barely managed to run this beauty of a game. I suspect the hardware requirements kept TA from being more popular than SC or C&C. Man I loved watching those air units zip across the map.

  • fucking love this game

Supreme Commander is awesome, but I still prefer the original TA

    ps: I LOVE THIS GAME

  • yeah i still play total annihilation online but only the original version of the game if you want to know how to get the game and play it online look at my video i made that shows you step by step. I mean the one released in 1997 and believe it or not people still play it online but only 100 or so. which surprises me because its got to be one of the best rts games on pc in that gen

  • TA all the way

    TA all the way

The life RTS as we know it is this game only it's the only game with enough playability to be played as an RTS this game will never die.

By the way anyone notice how the AI's all go negative K/D when your always positive

  • I can see why Supreme Commander is considered to be the spiritual successor to this game now. I may not have been able to get a good glimpse of this game's supposed 3D graphics (from this recording at least), but the gameplay is definitely similar to both Supreme Commander games, especially with the destruction of the enemy commander being the primary objective in multiplayer/skirmish matches.

  • @Whisper0ak there is a music patch/music pack available to download on the net
