Bertha's Grave, Coleraine, MN

This is an interesting location that is steeped with urban legend. Legend has it that Bertha was a witch bringing plague to the surrounding areas crops and that is why her grave is away from everyone else's in the cemetery. It is also said that her grave cannot be found on Halloween and that it moved and could not be found at all. Well, it is located away from all other graves because it was never moved by the family. It lies in a very low area next to a lake and it floods there from time to time. The stone disappeared because the caretaker put it in his pole building for 7 years to to vandals until the family wanted it replaced. There is nothing at all to support any of the urban legends but do I believe that Bertha may still be there? It is possible and we did capture this anomaly that we clocked doing 71 m.p.h. during the daytime. Was it Bertha coming to protect her final resting place? You be the judge.
