Like Marine said, there is more than one way tro interpret the piece and while you are correct that this interpretation doesn't sound very italian at all Lendvay's interpretation instead sounds like a genuine gypsy hora, and since I've never heard anyone play it that way (i don't think anyone has), his interpretation is indeed artistic and unique

everytime i see somethin like that i think: haha how the hell can david garrett think he is the fastest violinist in the world.. lendvay is faster when he's waking up in 3:00 in the morning without warming up..
