"Reckless" by Steel Dragon

Rock Star is a 2001 movie starring Mark Wahlberg and directed by Stephen Herek. The film also stars Jennifer Aniston. It was shot almost entirely in and around Los Angeles, but part of the film takes place in Pittsburgh.

The movie depicts, approximately, the life of an '80s heavy metal band, with the highs and lows of fame, drugs, rock and roll, and groupies. The band depicted in the movie, Steel Dragon, is fictional.

The film was inspired by the real-life story of Tim 'Ripper' Owens, singer in a Judas Priest tribute band who was chosen to replace singer Rob Halford when he left the band. The original title of the movie was to be Metal God, similar to signature Judas Priest song "Metal Gods".

  • ARE YOU KIDDING ME????? WHO WOULDN'T WANT TO BE A ROCKSTAR?

It may be alot of work but you bet your ass it would be worth it once you hit a stage in front of 40,000 people

  • @ba773r1na Super GAY!

  • @tyler4871 No man, you didn't hear. He blew all on crack when he started doing hip hop. He failed and now lives in a cardboard box in Miami Beach with Vanilla Ice.

  • @rodkiller11 how did he lose? he already made millions of dollars up to the point, he would have been fine in real life.

  • Fuckin' love that bass riff...

  • 2:15 I see that on The New Guns n' roses

  • Isn't he being a little bitch? I mean he was in a cover band and given a chance. So what if he sings the songs they write? But I can see it based on musician egos. If I was given that chance, I'd stay with the money. Why go back to ironworking, if I could sing in a big time band? Shown by the end of the movie. He leaves success and everything he strived to be to do some college bullshit music and keep his girl. What a tool. He lost... if the movie was real life. But it's not so fuck it.

  • @FlyKicksYe That is because in the movie Miljenko Matijevic did all of the vocals including the Hallelujah church scene and on the sound track Jeff Scott Soto sang three of the songs, Stand Up, Wasted Generation and Livin' The Life the rest on the album/sound track are Mili which are the same as the movie track. They would have sold more CD's if they used the actual movie tracks. Mili is Marks vocals and Soto was the original vocalist voice in Steel Dragon in the movie.

  • @ThatKrookedVulture steel dragon no but steelheart yes (the lead singer from steel heart is the singer for the movie Mark is doing voice-overs)

  • Fuck man why couldn't this have been a real band. WHY!?
