While my guitar gently weeps

Please comment and rate! I remember a cool version of this song made by Vinnie Moore, and when I found a backing track I thought I just had to record it myself! It's a silly shred version, hope I didn't butcher it completely!

I have a post on YouTube performing it with Clapton's bassist Nathan East.  Certainly not stellar but worth checking out. I have a real passion for this song and this didn't do it for me. Steve Lukather has a great version on youtube as well.

I agree with you totally on the scale shredding, just read over the title of this song - "while my guitar gently weeps". But you should listen to the other 75% of the song again because he nailed it with those bends. That guitar was wailing.

I am sorry but somewhere you lost your connection to the song, maybe right before you started. There are tons of songs to play fast scale runs over but this is not one of them. Hopefully you have moved on to Metallica.
