Here's a short video of our trip to Walt Disney World on February 3, 2011. We were visiting in Florida, and decided to visit the Mouse!
There were two things about this trip that made it different from our other Walt Disney World Vacations. First, there had been some huge snowstorms across the northern US, closing airports and delaying flights. Second, this was our first trip in the last 20 years without our daughters.
The snowstorms kept the crowds down. We were able to ride all day with no waits. It was one of the best trips to Disney World ever, except for missing our daughters.
Lets's go! 8:41 - Pulled into the parking lot. Got tickets, walked to the Monorail, and rode into the entrance area in time to watch the rope-drop ceremony.
Walked down Main Street, waving at all the cast members. Lots of buildings are covered up for renovation.
Got a Fastpass for Peter Pan, and went toward Adventureland.
1 - First ride - Pirates of the Caribbean.
2 - The wildest ride in the wilderness, Big Thunder Mountain.
3 - Haunted Mansion
4 - Peter Pan
5 - Dumbo - Got a good look over the wall at the new construction areas.
6 - Mad Tea Party
7 - Toontown, and Goofy's Barnstormer. We went through Mickey and Minnie's houses, and Donald's Boat. Toontown was closing the next week, so we looked around for a while. I wish I could get Mickey's old mail box.
Looked around the Castle. There were so few people in the park, we could take pictures easily. Started thinking about lunch. We went to the Liberty Tree Tavern. I couldn't remember being there before. Mary had a nice chicken salad, and I had a great roast beef sandwich. The waitress said that park attendance was only ONE percent of capacity.
Walked down Main Street, and Mary got a bead for Amy's bracelet.
Off to Tomorrowland, and -
8 - Stitch's Great Escape.
9 - Buzz Lightyear!
10 - Buzz again! No lines at all.
11 - We're in for a real treat - The Carousel of Progress
12 - Peoplemover. Time to put our feet up for a while.
13 - Astro Orbiter. I haven't ridden it before this trip.
14 - Back towards Frontierland, and we sat beside the bridge to see the parade, with a cold Dole Whip float.
15 - Snow White's Scary Adventures. They are planning on removing this, so we really wanted to ride it.
16 - Winnie the Pooh ride. There are some new interactive activities in the line.
17 - Mary rode the Carousel.
18 - Mickey's Philharmagic 3D movie.
19 - Small World
20 - Peter Pan's Flight. Used the fastpasses we got earlier. The standby line was only 20 minutes, though.
21 - Haunted Mansion for the second time.
22 - Did a quick tour of the Swiss Family Treehouse.
23 - Country Bears.
24 - Jungle Cruise.
25 - Tiki Room closed, so went to Pirates again.
26 - Splash Mountain. We decided to wear raincoats, so we stayed pretty dry.
27 - Rode the train around to the Main Gate.
28 - Walked up Main Street to watch the new show where they project images onto the Castle. It is really amazing.
Walked down Main Street, and got on the Ferry back to the parking lot as the Wishes fireworks started. Watched the fireworks from the back railing on the ferry, then from the dock. The music plays at the dock, just like in the parks.
Walked from the dock to the car, and headed home!
Missed Monster's Laugh Floor, Tom Sawyer Island, Tomorrowland Speedway, and Space Mountain. Spectromagic Parade wasn't shown, and the Tiki Room was closed. We didn't try to see any characters. The longest line we saw was to visit the characters from "Tangled".
We REALLY missed our daughters! This was our second trip without them.
Thanks for watching!
Which is the ride at 5:09 ?

That's in "The Many Adventures Of Winnie The Pooh", where the elephant blows a smoke ring at you.
