Personally, as a hard core raider throughout vanilla and BC, I dont raid JUST for the boss mechanics but to see the content as well. In fact, I would of much rather be forced to raid ulduar for a year then ICC. Ulduar was by far my favorate raid to date.

The true reward, no matter 10 or 25 man, was the event in Dalaran triggered by downing Algalon. And the Algalon fight also. The hardmodes were still hardmodes even for ICC geared teams, especially Firefighter.

Even though I never raided Ulduar till cata I have to say its one of my favorite raids. I love all the interesting mechanics, the music, and the architectural design. I really hope they stick to the Titans in WoW even though it would take a lot of work to design. The lore behind them to me is just really amazing and if they ever wanted to end WoW this would be the theme. go out with a big bang a Really really big bang.

@plutarch78 i hope it won't be like that, i mean: there has never been a mortal who would have been able to kill a titan or sargeras (only broxigar was up to this point able to hurt sargeras)...hope they're leaving something like that for warcraft 4 or whatever they got planned ^^

uluar was in my opinion the best raid they've created so far..

just think about the epic storyline around it - you basicly go in there to get through the creations of the titans to defeat the old god of death and suddenly this observer of the titans comes up to ..well...destroy the whole world? ^^

the size of the whole damn thing and everything around it was amazing!
