Sorry the wrapping noise is so loud, I didn't know my camera's mic was that sensitive!

  • Man it is awesome! But I really got Swiss Flu and SKS Fever right now :( lol. Such fine rifles and so much fun. P-1 is close to my door for self defense though that's for damn sure.

  • @bber45 Glad you like it! JG Sales has good prices on SKS's

  • From what I understand the P1's with the hex pins in them are ok with +P ammunition, the ones with out the pins are susceptible to cracking through there, whether you shoot 9mm or 9mm +P ammo. Do you know anything about this?

  • @oneyeopn I've looked but can't find any confirmation on this one way or the other. I just heard the hex pin was added as a prevention to the frame cracking from excessive use. I think I'm going to just play it safe and stick with standard 9mm. Anyone else have any further info on this??

  • very nice! I pick mine up tomorrow. Its a P-1 1981 West German comes with original holster, two bran new mags, booklet and original box. All for about 320$ pretty stoked about it. I hope its a good shooter like yours is :)

  • @bber45 So how is it? :-)

  • And by a long time I mean the gun might just outlive you ;).

  • Also with regard to the hex pin and the frame cracking, as long as you use 115 grain FMJ the gun should last for a long time...there was a P1 dealer who sold many non-pinned P1's and not a single customer has reported a cracked frame and this was a good while ago too! Dont worry about it, one cracked frame doesnt speak for all.

  • I picked up a Post War P38 made in 62 for $400 marked BW and all. I agree that Winchester white box 115 grain ammo is the way to go! Love my gun and I hope you love yours too!

  • I have been doing some reading and it seems that Winchester White Box 115gr FMJ 9mm seems to be the ammo that most people recommend for this pistol. I bought a box and went out and shot my pistol. It shot better than I could hope for. According to the forums, if you use this ammo, the pistol should last a long long time. And it shoots very accurately through mine.

  • @bber45 That's a really good deal, have fun with it! They are a really easy gun to shoot, I love mine!
