Does God exist?

What evidence supports the existence of God?

Representing the Muslim perspective was Adam Deen: Adam is a former Islam channel presenter and intellectual activist who has been working in the field of Muslim apologetics for almost a decade.

He has contributed to debates on issues ranging from ethics, to religious philosophy and theology.

He is a member of the Muslim Dawah Initiative its formed of members from the Muslim community with experience in public speaking, apologetics, polemics, research and community work.

He is currently completing a degree in Philosophy at Birkbeck University.

He runs his blog www.adamdeen.blogspot.com

Representing the Humanist side was Dr. Philip Nathan: Dr. Nathan is the public speaker for the North East Humanists (NEH), the UK's largest Group of it's kind outside of London.

The Tyneside Group of the North East Humanists was founded in 1957, but organised secularism in the North East had been active from the 1860s. Together with the Teesside Group we adopted the name North East Humanists in 1997.

Humanists are concerned with values and moral issues from a non-religious viewpoint and with the achievement of a more open, just and caring society.

Through National and International Humanist, Ethical and Secular movements, we have representation with the U.K. Government, at the European Union and at the United Nations.

Representing the Christian side was Rev. Dr Stephen Fagbemi : Dr. Fagbemi was born in Oba-Ile, Ondo State, Nigeria, and ordained in the Anglican Church of Nigeria, after his theological education at Immanuel College of Theology, Ibadan.

He did further theological studies at St John's College, Nottingham and the University of Nottingham,UK, from where he obtained his theology degree. He gained his PhD degree in theology from the University of Kent, Canterbury.

In addition to his preaching tour of many parishes in the British Isles, Dr Fagbemi has worked in parishes in Nigeria both as a lay and ordained minister. He also worked as a parish priest in Kent before moving to head the Chaplaincy at Sunderland University
