I agree with charlesorlando...seen his show also in the 70s and maybe even at the same time. He simpled amazed me with his sounds at that time. Very entertaining, the best show I ever seen at Disneyworld.
In case anyone's interested, Michael Iceberg is alive and well. He has a Facebook page, just search Facebook for "Michael Iceberg." There are video interviews, music you can buy, and regular updates.
I saw Michael Iceberg at DisneyWorld (Orlando) back in the mid-70s. He was performing in a restaurant in (fittingly) Futureland. His musical set and his performance was simply breathtaking. To this day, I consider Iceberg's performance on that day long time ago in a theme park far, far away as being one of the very best musical entertainment experiences of my life. That man's talent is simply astonishing.
Back in 1979, I got hungry and went into a restaurant at Disney World. I was there marching with the T.L. Hannna Band. While I was eating a hot dog--Mr. Iceberg was playing. Since then, Mr. Iceberg's music has been a reminder of the wonderful time, the wonderful opportunity it was, to march, with the T.L. Hanna Band, at Disney World.
Thank You so much for sharing this! Man it was a long time ago when I first saw Michael, he was just awesome, considering the time he did these shows. I worked for Disney World in the early 80's, and got to meet him. He was a really nice person to talk to, very interesting character, not stuck up at all. I'll never forget "Pigs in the rain" ever, that's an Iceberg classic!
I remember him coming to Auburn University around 1982-1983 with the Iceburg Machine. It was an incredible show, and I still remember it all. I remember buying an autographed LP at the time. Friend of mine still has it. In this day with sampling keyboards being the norm, most people probably don't find this that cool. This was all before MIDI was available, so he really built had to create this machine.
