After many requests, we have put together the Apprentice Level of the Libre Distance Learning Program. Go to www.librefighting.blogspot,com for more information.
it's not just about which knife my friend, it's also about your skill. u obviously don't want a rambo knife. if you want to carry it around a 4" so blade, folding knife is good. preferably ones where u can adjust the tension so u can flick it open. gravity knives sometimes they are called. ensure there is a guard or gd grip. test: imagine u stab a solid object...like a wall (bone actually...)(for example)... you DON'T want ur hand to _slide onto the blade_. OR. carry a gun too.
can you guys tell me what kind of knife would be best for self defense ?? i hope you can tell me because you guys train with it every day so i wonder what you guys prefer
just tell me the name of the knife and which size ^^
@madogblue Good point on training knives still being able to tear you up. But personally I hate safety glasses and goggles for knife alone. A lot of times I recommend them so that I can work eye gouges though. I recommend the glasses that have a strap around them, Marshalltown sells some that are pretty nice, though I haven't gotten to test them out yet.
if you guys visit the website and read some of the blog material you should be impressed not just with the knowledge that Mr. BAbb has, but also with his professionalism and humility. I believe this man and his training mindset embodies the true definition of a warrior.
