Animal Crossing: City Folk - Perfect Town

Video showing the steps required for a perfect town in Animal Crossing: City Folk for Nintendo Wii. Keep your town perfect for 15 days and you'll earn the golden watering can.

-Pull weeds and pick up any items lying around. (Seashells and fruit are okay, though).
-Use patterns to mark off 16x16 square grids to see the acre boundaries. (Start at the top-left or top-right corner of the map).
-Make sure you have 12-15 trees in each acre. If you have fewer than 12 trees in an acre, plant more. If you have more than 15, cut some down.
-You'll also want at least three flowers in each acre.
-Once your town status is "sweet" or perfect, be sure to maintain it. Pull weeds and water any wilting flowers each day. On the 15th day, you will receive the golden watering can as your reward.

Tip: Plant lots of flowers! Having extra flowers can help overcome other flaws and it may even be easier to just "plop down flowers" than to find out where that one extra tree is. You can never have too many flowers, so plop away!

Q: What is an acre?
A: It's a 16 space by 16 space area of land. Each town is divided into 25 acres. Unfortunately, you can't see the borders of each acre unless you mark them off as shown in this video. The number of trees and flowers in each acre determines your town status.

If you have an SD card, you can upload a picture of your map and this site will place a grid over your map, making it easier to count off acre boundaries. Even if you don't have an SD card, the site gives an example of what a town will look like when divided into the 25 acres.
