  • When nice comment pops up after all this time it makes me realize once more what a special little guy he was and how much I will always love and miss him. Thanks for the nice remarks.

  • I rescued LeStat, I can't take credit for the name, he was already named, from a young college student , along with his cagemate Flower. His spine is twisted so that he can barely walk, his feet/claws are deformed, he is deaf, and his tail is shortened and has a 90 degree break in it. He is the sweetest, kindest most beautiful creature-like your Roy was. He stopped eating and X-rays showes what appear to be cancer in his liver and pancreas. I have fed him by syringe and he is doing well.

  • Roy was also already named. As you saw in the video, he had osteoporosis and got more and more disabled. You and I both know what a special gift these little creatures are to us! I spent tons of money and time on Roy, plus the stress. But I don't regret any of it. It was one of the most valuable experiences of my life.

What does LeStat eat? Roy ate critical care & different fruit & vegetable concoctions. Hope that you continue to appreciate every minute you have with this lovely little being!

  • I have a special needs ferret named Lestat. I love him dearly, I must feed him from a syringe and give him special dietary treats. I know the work and dedication and love that goes into taking care of a special needs pet. Keep up the good work, Roy is so cute! I love him!

  • Thanks for understanding, Yellowrock. My dear Roy passed on in January 2008. I still miss him tremendously. You sure develop a special relationship with a special needs pet, don't you? Blessings to you and Lestat (what a great name!).

  • lots of hard work for roy, i know he's worth it!! such a lovely pig... and a caring mom as well... roy is so blessed to have you...

-btw... is that a regular ascorbic acid for humans?? coz im thinking of sharing my tablets to my piggies

  • ROY is so happy to have a new friend from the Philippines! Thank you for all the nice things you said. We'd like to see videos of your piggies too. ROY takes Oxbow Vitamin C tablets with his Oxbow Critical Care because he can't chew well (he does manage to chew those tablets--they're his favorite treat!) I bet you could use regular ascorbic acid. There are also chew biscuits with Vit C that I get at the Pet store! ROY says to stay in touch! Hi to your piggies from us.
