I've had it with these damn tanks LOL

If you plan on traveling with your nitrogen tanks, you better watch this video. Also, if you want to travel with CO2, you have two options - ship the tank or buy another one when you arrive. Enjoy!

  • Another comment that I've been getting is "well my tank was empty, and I didn't remove the reg and I didn't get in trouble"

First off, you were lucky. Second, what if you forgot to drain your tank? And then... what if your burst disk blew, and filled the luggage compartment with a blast of 4500psi air, setting off the sensors causing the plane to emergency land, or it caused structural damage?

Blow a burst disk = plane will emergency land / crash = you will be in a HEAP of trouble

  • As long as your tank is EMPTY, it is ok to ship your tank via AirMail. You have to understand that cargo planes have more lenient regulations than PASSENGER planes. Cargo planes have 3 people on them, passenger planes can have over 300+ passengers.

As long as your tank is empty, you can ship your tank with the regulator still attached via Air Mail because it'll go on a CARGO plane, not a PASSENGER plane.

    Thanks

  • Q) Do you have to remove the regulator in order to ship your tank to the hotel?

    A) No, you only have to degas the tank completely. You do not have to remove the regulator if you plan on shipping your tank to the hotel.

    Q) What about the markers on a plane?

    A) Your marker cannot go in "carry on" luggage. You have to "check" your bag with the marker in it, and pick it up at baggage claim when you land at your destination

  • @cna234

guns go into your checked baggage

  • so wuld i and ive been on a flight with one to chicago from fort lauderdale airport he only got fined $3000...and did u read the last part of my comment? about the armed guard and a limo free of charge if u fly in or out of miami international

  • Also, I'll be MORE THAN HAPPY to forward all the comments below about how you can't be arrested, how other airports care more than others, etc directly to the FAA and TSA.

If I found out that a paintball player on my flight had a sealed tank in the luggage compartment, I wouldn't think twice about asking for him to be arrested for jeopardizing my life and the others on the flight for being irresponsible.

Remove the reg, don't be irresponsible and risk people's lives. Enjoy!

"You can't be arrested for flying with a tank w/ a reg on it" - what if the tank blows a burst disk during flight, and the plane has to emergency land? What if people are injured? Damage to the airplane? Still think you can't be arrested?

Don't be such a selfish asshole as to risk the lives of other people flying on the airplane.

  • @Barrowood0002

Per the TSA rules, you MUST have the regulator removed from the tank.
