Food bloggers, internet trolls, people like me who leave comments on YouTube: This is the promise of the internet community coming home to roost. The faux community of internet communication relieves people of the decorum that comes from seeing the people you "speak" to face to face. There can be no true community at the end of a computer node. Yes I see the hypocrisy of this thesis coming from an anonymous online posting. Nevertheless, I do see people every day and actually speak with them.
