  • should be "Getting Creative with Standard Tunes"

  • It has a certain conservative old-school charm...

  • But in a sense all forms of music, classical ,rock, dixieland, bebop, country, near east have their cliches. exception being maybe spontaneous avant garde ,where dissonance approaches harmony .....just a thought

  • Studied w/ Jon too -- great guy, and great player!

  • I studied with Jon for a couple of years- amazing guitarist and great guy! I'll never forget one day, with a big smile on his face, he told me "It's hard to be optimistic when everything sucks" Haha! For straight up jazz guitar I don't think you could find a better player!

  • he's coming to play at my Home at november 11th 'cause my neighbor knows him and we're having a party, he's really good love this kind of music!

  • what song is he soloing over?

  • had him for sight reading over the summer at berklee.... he is amazing and a really laid back guy, luckily i walked out of the class with a B and lemme tell you he is a tough grader

  • this is the truth.
