The Anna Lindh Euro-Mediterranean Foundation for the Dialogue between cultures "ALF" represented by Mr. Andrew Claret of the one part & Alwan Association For Development & Creative registered in ALF Network in Egypt of the other part, have agreed that Alwan Association For Development & Creative shall Co-organize with ALF an action entitled "Obama's speech & Women - هن و خطاب اوباما" in the frame work of the "Restore trust - Rebuild bridges" initiative.

* Brief description of the action:-
President Obama's recent speech in Cairo was aimed at restoring confidence and building bridges of peace in the Arab and Islamic area. Discourse focused on the Arab-Israeli conflict and the possibilities of peace. He also touched on the status of women in the Arab and Islamic area.
The event aims to monitor the effect of Obama's political speech on women and their vision about the Arab-Israeli conflict and the possibilities of peace through Obama's speech as well as the importance of what he said about the status of women in the Arab world. This will take place through the production of a documentary film of 60 minutes based on interviews with women from the age of 16 years and over. These meetings are based on free association, which emphasizes the right of expression and provide an opportunity for women to have more effective roles in building peace. In addition these meetings are combined with drawings of plastic artists that reflect the lives of Arab women and their aspirations. The meetings and the selection of the artist's works will take place in three countries (Egypt, Palestine and Israel).
The work occurs under the leadership of the Egyptian director Ahmed Saleh and the Spanish photographer & director Mark Almodovar.
* Goals:-
To promote awareness on human rights: freedom of expression, freedom of opinion and the right in the sense of safety within the community, and self-protection and the right to resection and non-discrimination, and all related to rights of women
To provide public events that incorporating regular women as she performs her regular work for the development of the relationship between art / performance and the community
* Targeted groups:-
1. 50 women over the age of 16 years old (Students - Workers house wives ...) from Egypt and Palestine
2. Local organizations whose activities are connected to Women work in Egypt, Palestine and Israel (2 Organizations from each State)
3. Youth and women from the local community who represent the audience
* Expected results: - • Primary material of the film to be presented on September 21st 2009. • Documentary Film • Form questionnaire to the viewers of the film (before & after) • Mini-study on the social impact of the work on the participants and spectators
