Okami [Pt. 1]

This is where 'Ammy' comes to life after being a statue and travels into a lighted tunnel with the Wandering Artist, Issun.

The very first part of the game [before this] showed how a mysterious figure pulled out Tsukuyomi and unleashed a bit of Orochi's power, but when I recorded it and played it back, the video was really off and stuff. Perhaps I'll record it another time.

Previous comment: I also believe Amaterasu is female, due to the Shinto mythology reference and many other things, but the game localization team were adamantly enforced to keep gender pronouns neutral. The Capcom localization producer, David Crislip, said that Kamiya was maybe trying to make a point that this might not be the "real" Amaterasu; they're taking names + themes, but it isn't necessarily -the- Amaterasu. In the proper legend, Susano and Tsukuyomi, a sword, are Amaterasu's siblings.

Haha I wouldn't have taken that as trolling, its okay :) I do know Amaterasu's and company's particular role in Shinto Mythology, though, so I dunno if you saw but I'll repost a previous comment as a reply to this one. I'm just saying that the very creator of the game wanted gender pronouns neutral, so..

According to Japanese mythology, the sun goddess Amaterasu was a girl. hope this clears things up!
