Marilyn McCoo performs on the 1983 Children's Miracle Network Telethon

Rare footage! Co-host Marilyn McCoo performs in the opening hour of the first annual Children's Miracle Telethon in 1983, seen in only 30 markets in it's inaugural year live from the Osmond Studios in Orem, Utah. National co-chairs of the telethon John Schneider and Marie Osmond, co-hosts Marilyn McCoo and Merlin Olsen. As described on childrensmiraclenetwork.org, "Childrens Miracle Network is a non-profit organization that raises funds for more than 170 childrens hospitals ... Childrens Miracle Network has raised more than $3.4 billion to date, most of which is donated a dollar or two at a time by caring individuals. Childrens Miracle Network has grown dramatically since its founding in 1983, from a televised fundraiser in a small studio to one of the worlds leading childrens charities helping million of kids each year."

Whoo-hoo! Fantastic. I remember trying to tape this when it first aired. I only got the last 30-40 seconds, and it was kinda garbled.
