What a joke. It's designed to protect the court's cash register, not the children.

And they'll tell you the same thing they told me: Your screwed.
At least that's what they think...

With the anti routine paternity testing argument of "can hurt the children or family", the logic is: "It is unethical to allow routine paternity testing because paternity fraudsters who have committed these heinous crimes can hurt the paternity fraudsters' families. Using that logic, isn't it also true that, "it is unethical to allow rape exams and dna testing of rape suspects because exposing rapists who have committed these heinous crimes can hurt rapists' families?"

@cnollan You are flat our fucking wrong. In many states, my own included, any child born into an in-tact marriage is the husband's responsibility. I personally know of a case where a husband fount out his daughter wasn't his, they divorced and she now lives with the biological father (all of this proven through DNA) and he has to pay child support, pay her tuition for private school, and will have to do so until she graduates college or go to prison. Women need to go to prison for this.

Welcome to Kansas... They do it all the time.... I have personally known quite a few men who have to pay for kids that aren't theirs.

Those judges and lawyers aren't genuinely concerned about a "child growing up fatherless." That isn't the real reason for holding a man, who's not the father of the child, financially responsible. They could easily track down the real father of the child if they wanted to. They have the resources to do it; and they could very well force the cheating wife to identify the real father of that child--she knows who he is. But they have turned this tragedy into commerce and it doesn't matter who pays.

@klin711 "The "father" is the victim! why he has to pay?"
The short glib answer is... "because 'feminism/the notion that females can be equal' doesn't work fundamentally. And this is because of deep seated instincts and long snowballing social/cultural rituals (which conform most people) rooted in those instincts."

Don't EVER get married.

@amperro Well said, my friend!!
What does it matter if gays get married?! Paternity fraud screws up more lives and does more dammage than gay marriage EVER could...
-
@snollan,why dont u type in *man without children in jail for child support*

That's right ladies, your giving men just that much more reason to stay single indefinitely. 51% of the women in the US are now single and that number grows every year.
Don't be surprised when you find your growing old and dying alone. It's exactly what you deserve.
This is all incorrect. A DNA test proving infidelity is enough evidence for a court to make a decision on. We get married, she cheats and has a kid, and i pay for it, then i will prove its not mine with science and we will get a divorce based on those terms. She will receive no more child support and unfortunately if she is unsuitable to raise the child on her own, she will lose those rights too.

@cnollan Every state has different laws and regulations. Many states follow the pattern described in the video. This topic is currently being legislated upon and interpreted by the courts, so what’s law today, may be different tomorrow. As with any legal issues, be sure to research and understand your own state’s regulations regarding your unique situation.
