Arranged Marriage: A Jemi Love Story S1 E3

After school, Demi goes to Selena's last class to pick her up so they could go home. When Selena doesn't come out, Demi goes inside. She asks the teacher where she is, and the teacher tells her she already left.

Demis POV
What?! How can Selena just leave like that?! Why didn't she tell me? She is SO dead when I get home! I walked to my car, and drove to my house. When I got there, I stormed through the front door. I started yelling the second I slammed that door shut.
Demi: Selena! Selena! Where are you?! Selena!
Selena: *Comes running down the stairs and stops halfway. Her eyes looked like she found out something horrible* Shut up and come upstairs with me! *She scurried back upstairs*
Demi: *Really confused* Selena! Wait! What's...?! *She followed upstairs and when she got in her room, she threw her bag in a corner, and plopped down on her bean bag* Selenaaa! What up?! And where's mom? And why did you just leave me at school?!
Selena: *Sighs* You were right. Mom HAS been seeing someone.
Demi: W-what? You mean she's seeing someone?
Selena: *Nods slowly*
Demi: You're not joking, are you?
Selena: Of course, not!
Demi: *Slowly sits back into her bean bag* Where is she?
Selena: She's out again. But, this time shes gone grocery shopping.
Demi: Oh. Did mom tell you this, or...?
Selena: She told me...
Demi: *Puts her hand on her forehead*
Selena: But... she didn't tell me what you're thinking... not the kind of 'seeing someone' you're thinking.
Demi: Then...?
Selena: As in...
Demi: Come on, Selena! Spit it out! You're killing me with the frikken' suspense!
Selena: She's been seeing someone, not for herself... but...
Demi: COME ON! *She jerks up and walks over to Selena, who was sitting on the bed*
Selena: *Shuts her eyes tight* For you...
Demi: *Sits down on the bed* Oh, wow. That's a weird name. How do you spell that? Y-O-O-H?
Selena: What? No! You! As in Demetria Devonne Lovato!
Demi: *Stand ups* WHAT?! ME?! Im only 18! I still... I still have to finish this, and next year of HIGH SCHOOL! What is she thinking?! WHO is she thinking?! Do you know?! *She shakes Selena by her shoulders* DO you?!
Selena: Well, I kinda sorta have an idea.
Demi: *Waits for an answer, but nothing, so she shakes her again* Well?! Who?! Speak?!
Selena: Sh-she said its one of the...
Demi: THE?!
Selena: Jonas boys...
Demi: *Her face goes white* W-well, I don't believe you but if it IS one of them, then it can't be Nick, because he's younger than me, and it MOST DEFINITELY canNOT be Joe! Yuck. *Shudders at the thought* So, that means... that means its got to be Kevin!
Selena: See?! It's not THAT bad! Not bad at all! Kevin is sweet, handsome, smart, caring, sensitive, romantic, charming! You just can't stop about him!
Demi: *Plops on the bed again* This can't be happening... this. CANNOT. Be happening! Where is mom?! Where is she?!
Selena: I told you already! She's gone out! *They hear the door slam* Must be her.
Demi: MOM! *Runs down the stairs, about to trip* Mom?! What is the meaning of this?!
Diana: Whoa whoa! *She was holding groceries* Let me breathe! *She walks through the living room, into the kitchen. Demi follows. Selena comes downstairs and watches. Diana starts putting things into the fridge while talking* Alright, what is the meaning of what? *She goes to the stove*
Demi: Everything! Why are you taking my proposal to Mrs. Jonas?!
Diana: *Freezes for a second, then continues working on the stove, and going back and forth from the fridge, while Demi just stood there* It's... highly beneficial for the family.
Demi: But not to ME! I'm only a junior, mom! I still need to finish High School! I would understand if I were in middle of college, or maybe even graduating! But right in the middle of my junior year?! Mom! That's... that's incredibly preposterous!
Diana: *Turns around and looks at Demi with a weird look* Are you studying vocabulary words this week? *Turns around again*
Demi: MOM!! This isn't FUNNY! I'm being serious! This is a promise I'll have to keep to that boy until the day I DIE! FOREVER, MOM!
Diana: Well, listen to this. I'm serious, too. I've taken this decision after a lot of consideration. They are a good family! And Denise will take good care of you!
Demi: But mom!
Diana: *Whips around* My mind is set. You are meeting him on Saturday, so prepare yourself nicely. I don't want to talk anymore of it. *Turns around again, cooking the food*
Demi: Fine... fine...
