Rick Santorum was against the Tea Party before he was in favour of it. In Harrisburg, Pennsylvania in June of 2011, he said he would fight against it. Re-post from http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=M3TVoVqvt74

  • @TiVo2010 RS started with "I am not a Libertarian and I fight very strongly against Libertarian influence in the Republican party and the conservative movement. I don’t think the Libertarians have it right when it comes to what the Constitution is all about."

Why do you say this is out of context?

  • For the record the correct date of this speech was 05/24/10, speaking to the Pennsylvania Press Club.

  • did you know santorum is named one of the three most corrupt senators? did you know when bush was taking the oath under presidency santorum is standing right behind him? Santorum doesnt have the american peoples votes he has the right connections. Do you notice all you every hear is romney and santorum on the media. Take my advise dont believe the media, research on the internet you will find the truth. Why do you think they wanna pass SOPA so they can decide what you read/look at on internet.

  • Stinky is right. Ron Paul folks are just upset because Rick was talking about them and their favorite candidate, NOT the Tea Party. Be honest about what he said and stop trying to spin things like a Liberal Democrat. Make your case for libertarianism, don't make up lies.

  • @reformcongress cough......guess what we will fight back. take paul supporters out of the GOP. youve now gone from 31% democrats and from 27% republicians down to something like 18%...good luck fighting us when he couldnt fight a liberal for a senate seat.

  • He IS talking about the Tea Party movement and how its direction is to redefine conservatism in the Republican Party. That is exactly their purpose because the GOP has truly lost their way. But Santorum loves and embraces the liberal, big government position of the GOP and does not want it to change at all. Make all the excuses you want - he did not like the Tea Party until it became expedient - and with the knowledge that many factions of it have been hijacked by the old school GOP.

  • @reformcongress It's not copyright infringement to simply quote someone. Since we live in an age where we have actual footage of someone saying things, then we need to allow freedom of the press and freedom of speech to quote them the same way we are allowed to quote people in print. Using 49 seconds of footage is akin to quoting 3 lines in a blog. I fail to see how the content is under more protection simply because it is film.

  • @reformcongress This was not made by the campaign. Check out the Campaigns actual ads, they're a lot better.

  • @Pazrayna The Constitution already does allow the federal government some power of the States.

I'm calling bullshit on you. The whole video has been removed because the Ron Paul campaign violated copyright law (which by the way is Constitutional).

  • This is the "attack on the Tea Party"/

Guess what Ron Paul fans, you're the ones that he's talking about. Not the other 95 to 98% of the Tea Party.
