Dynoing the ITP Race Truck

Here's my hot rod on the dyno at John Wood Automotive on January 18, 2009. It made 422hp and over 850ft/lbs...not bad for a 223k mile beater work truck! Yes, it broke the tires loose on the dyno when it made the 2-3 shift with the TC locked. HP numbers quoted are NOT corrected and are NOT from the shift spike!

Race truck? It has a set of slicks and makes 422hp I wouldnt call that a race truck

@raptor660cc1 At the time of this video, it also had a stand alone trans controller, full data logging setup, bed mounted fuel cell, relocated batterys, affco coil over shocks and ladder bar rear suspension with driveshaft loop, lowered front suspension with QA1 drag shocks and it was trailered to and from the track. It ran high 12's at 103-105 mph. What exact criteria do you have to consider it a race truck.

FWIW, it now has a full cage and new race engine...new vids after break-in!

Yes, fuel only. The injectors are small and the 38R turbo cleans them up pretty quick. Don't even need water to manage EGTs at this point.

@lcarter44 d'you also notice this manchine was a 233k mile work truck beater? It was prolly an XL he converted to look good with that front end swap. How many 233k mile work duramaxs do you see making 422 and over 850 torque?

efi live and stock dmax will do 500 to the wheels with no other mods. poor ford guys are always playing catch up.
