Sea Shepherd said,

"Shonan Maru No. 2 suddenly starts the engine, and it has crashed into the Ady Ghil by intention. "

It is impossible that the large-scale diesel ship suddenly starts the engine.

The large-scale diesel ship is necessary for 30 minutes or more by the time the ship is started from the engine start.

Sea Shepherd is Liar.

  • A few problems with your write up. first it does not take a half an hour for a ship at sea to start the engine and get under way. Second, are these ships perhaps diesel electric? In which case it would be able to move at any moment, as generators are always running. A large diesel engine will have all auxiliaries running, and can be started as fast as you can put the air to it. So no it does and will not take 30 minutes.

Thank you for reading my poor English.

However, as for the fact, a large-sized diesel boat needs the preparation for 30 minutes or more from engine starting.

  • @CrimeAvenger2 Sorry, they do not when at sea. When at sea, they never shut the engines completely down, unless engine problems exist, and it has to be. I know this, becauseIi am a marine engineer, and have started and stopped many many marine engines. There are marine engines that need time from a cold start, but that would never be when at sea.

And don't worry, I know people who english is their first language and still cannot write it as well.

  • @quedorf

On structure, diesel engine has extremely little fuel consumption at the time of an idling.

Therefore, a diesel boat does not not much stop an engine completely.

Moreover, since starting of a diesel boat takes time and effort, there are few opportunities to stop an engine.

    Will this do?
