This is an excellent way to think alternative and the resources that you would save by not having to buy would be able to go towards that dreamy piece of land you always wanted for the unit to be perched on. Possibilities are closer than we think.

Love this concept! I think the possibility is truly limitless on design and affordability.

I am thinking in stacking three steel containers on top of each other. What do you suggest to do for the wind not to top them down?

What size container is this?

very cool! i'm hoping to do the same some day. question: i don't see a lot of closet space. where do you stash things like clothes, towels, blankets, etc.?

I do not think you should be stacking then with out the consultation of a structural engineer. They stack well and hold strong, but only if done correctly.

The size of the Shipping Container Home is: 45ft long, 9Ft high and 8 ft wide. The unit you see in the video is an aluminum container. Our future models will be built with the steel containers. They are in fact mush smaller: 40ftx8ftx8ft, and some are 40ftx8ftx9ft(high)
These units are all equipped with basic electricity, plumbing, insulation, walls and floors, bathroom, bedroom and smaller bedroom/office. We can also furnish them as well.

We plan to elevate the beds for draws and storage. Plus in the bathroom hall ceiling will be modified for storage. The living room couch will have free space underneath and finally the outside underneath the unit will be storage containers.
