Wow, I've learned something today.

I remember this show. I loved Tennessee Tuxedo. Fun to see this as an adult. I still love cartoons tho.
Thx!

That's because the voice behind Stanley Livingston WAS a "Jewish New Yorker", 'ff'- a veteran radio/TV actor named Mort Marshall, who was also the original voice of the "Trix Rabbit" and "Klondike Kat"...

Never thought I'd see this stuff again. ...that pesky penguin and walrus... got a big laugh out of that segment of this clip. Was probably 4 years old then. Thanks so much for posting!

I use to know the guy who did the voice for the walrus. Friendly guy, lives in Dobbs Ferry NY, if he is still alive. I haven't seen him in a few years.
I loved this cartoon.

Dayton Allen's brother, Bradley Bolke, did Chumley. Dayton died a number of years ago but I think Bradley is still with us.

Tennessee Tuxedo and His Tales was a popular, semi-educational animated cartoon show that originally aired on CBS from 1963 to 1966. It was produced by Total Television, the same company that produced the earlier King Leonardo and the later Underdog, and primarily sponsored by General Mills. The title is a play on tuxedo and tails formal wear.
