I sang this song, on karaoke every year in magaluf, to my husband. He died four years ago, and this song will remain a beautiful memory forever. Forever missed, constantly loved. Music evokes such powerful memories in us all.

@mermaid2water Hey, I checked out her website. Great story of how The Rose was written and how it changed her life. She was driving and listening to the radio. The song said your love is like a razor and she thought, no love's not like a razor and started to think up the words right there and then....many thanks.

5 months ago my old friend died alone.

This song has inspired me so much to being once again to try to "move on" after the death of my beloved husband whom died from cancer after being exposed to Agent Orange during the Vietnam war. I promised him to try and make a life without him. This song helps me to keep trying to keep that promise. Thank you Bette for this most beautiful inspiring song!!! We loe you!!!
