  • with that 800 holley your not getting enough fuel, for those cam specs. Plus it sounds like your timimg is off.

  • @Baseballstud5964 timing is dead on, runs great, thanks

  • Hey man, I am building a similiar setup to this and was interested in the cam you have. I have a couple of questions about it. I will be sticking my bigblock in a 83 C10 SWB also. It is only going to be a weekend driver and cruizer. How streetable is this cam. Can you make enough vacuum to run your power brakes and such?

  • @baclay9 I have enough vacuum for my brakes

  • what cam do u have in this???

  • @Joshua8336 comp cams mutha thumper 558/542 lift , 291/311 dur.

  • sound bestiality !

  • @01bdowne, thanks man, I haven't done much more than get exhaust done, dual 3" thrush with cut outs and dumps in front of axle. So far the holleys great, but haven't driven it over like 10 since I've gotta get front brake lines made, I really gotta get rid of all the colors, but I'm on a budget, my colors will be black and green only, no ugly red or blue. Those flex hoses suck balls, won't stay tiight, but it was so cheap ($5) couldn't pass it up. I have a ways to go still, its a $ pit!

  • Love the engine block green--can't miss that!

I'm running almost the same setup as you in a Mark IV 454--except the carb. Got a cruddy Edelbrock 800CFM on there. How's the Holley DP working out? Got the idle down to something reasonable?

Was thinking of swapping the Ed for either that specific Holley or a Demon.
