Thank you for all the comments and somehow my subscriptions have been increasing too!

I realize that the death penalty may be cruel but I want the highest form of punishment possible for him--which in Japan is capital punishment, but I might accept life if and only if there is no chance for parole and if Japanese prisons are as horrible as people say (in America some of them are like resorts.....they have libraries, gyms, etc.)

As an English teacher just like Lindsay this case hits home to me and a lot of fellow foreign women in Japan. I never said that it is more important than a Japanese murder case. The fact that the suspect was on the run for such a long time is also a factor in why everyone is so interested to see what will happen.
For those of you are so convinced that he is innocent, can you please enlighten me on how a strangled, bruised, tied up body in a bathtub full of sand with his DNA all over it appeared in his apartment? I'd like to hear your story.
As always, video responses are welcome.

Update: Ichihashi has been charged and arrested for murder and rape.

Moral lessons of the story: Don't go to Japan alone if you're a foreign girl especially if you're a caucasian. Don't go there just because of the money. Don't go alone with strangers. Being a sexual maniac there (harrassing and raping women) is a common thing and it is like saying you're an attractive woman and you should appreciate it... Look at how they treat women in the past: especially foreign women as comfort women during World War 2. What sick people... I don't want to go there anymore...
