    Thought long time that Slovakia also ignites analogue PAL D/K (6,5 MHz) to air...

  • 6,5 vs. 5,5 MHz - what a "wonderfull neighbourhood" now on air since they once have been a common country called "Czechoslovakia".

  • I don't know why they do that. On VHF-1 and 3 they still use 8MHz channel raster.

    PS2. slovak language is similar to polish.

  • On vysielace-sk I found some infos. There is also a full list of tv analogue transmitters with 5.5/6.5 column.

    "All telvision transmitters in Slovak Republic since 1990 use PAL color system. Sound is gradually converted from east 6.5MHz standard to 5.5MHz, and main slovak transmitters works with it."

    Do you know when they turned over to B/G-system?

    Have been in Czech Republic last Novermber (2008) and they still had D/K-norm (PAL).
