This isn't a Republican or a Democratic thing. Scooter was putting money in the pockets of EVERYONE! Therefore, EVERYONE had some reason not to push the issue with his perjury... Both parties ran away from this one.

@jensen1901 i heard bush didnt even want to pardon him or commute his sentance, but cheney kept bugging him and kept saying "we cant leave someone on the battlefield". i actually heard bush and cheney dont talk to each other much now because of it. i hate bush but feel it was more his cabinet and politcal machine behind him that destroyed his presidency. i overall think he was a decent man, but cheney, rice, rumsfeld, powell, rove and wolfowitz were a cancer that decieved bush over and over.
