That clip at the beginning came from the original prints of "Rick Steves' Europe", which included the original Rail Europe funding ad, and the 1986 OPB logo, that all originally came after the end credits. The 2005 remade version plasters the original fundings(Rail Europe, the OPB closing logo, etc.).

The CPB just funded the PBS airing of it. I remember seeing Wallace and Gromit at the Store of Knowlege, which has marketing tie-ins to PBS member stations.
