Why Did Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) Have More Than Four Wives?

Why Polygamy Is Allowed in Islam:

According to the Quran, only on condition that the husband is scrupulously fair. No woman can be forced into this kind of marriage if they do not wish it, and they also have the right to exclude it in their marriage contract.
Polygamy is neither mandatory, nor encouraged, but merely permitted,as a man is only allowed
at most four wives only if he can fulfill the stringent conditions of treating each
fairly and providing each with separate housing etc. Permission to practice polygamy is not associated with mere satisfaction of passion. It is rather associated with compassion toward widows and orphans. It was the Quran that limited and put conditions on the practice of polygamy among the Arabs, who had as many as ten or more wives and considered them "property".
It is both honest and accurate to say that it is Islam that regulated this practice, limited it, made it more humane, and instituted equal rights and status for all wives. What the Qur'anic decrees amount to, taken together is discouragement of polygamy unless necessity for it exists.
At the end, There is no doubt that the second wife legally married and treated kindly is better off than a mistress without any legal rights or ex permanence.

  • Your videos are hard to read and the music is a bit distracting. Now, in response to the video. Understand at least that most Christians view Kind David and Soloman's choices to be unrighteous. David killed a man to have his wife.I mean really..they both were not living right so I'm not sure that these are good examples. I'm not contesting polygamy however. I'm not sure where I stand on that..it could be that is fine for a man to have more than one wife but David and Soloman are bad role models.

  • @cymbeli

I have posted my sources in the description section .i do not believe David or Solomon committed any of those filthy act, i believe that those are lies have been attributed falsely by the writers of the bible to those prophets .you believe that Solomon wrote:son of songs , Ecclesiastes، and Proverbs. if they are bad role models then the bible is also bad and corrupted and you should not follow it since also David wrote Psalms where he predicted about Jesus's Crucifixion

    cont

  • @cymbeli

if he is bad role models then his book psalm is also bad and untrusted .according to the bible ,Solomon is the son of God and his chosen one :

    1 Chronicles 28:5-6 and 1 Chronicles 29

5And of all my sons, (for the LORD hath given me many sons,) he hath chosen Solomon my son to sit upon the throne of the kingdom of the LORD over Israel.

  • @cymbeli

also , Jesus compared himself with Solomon :

    Luke 11

31The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with the men of this generation, and condemn them: for she came from the utmost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here.

it is like the president comparing himslef with a thief?!! it is non sense. Jesus knew that Solomon was a good person and never committed fornication or worshiped idols as the writers of the bible claimed

  • @cymbeli

Add to that most of the prophets in the bible were polygamists.for example Prophet Abraham (the father of the prophets )had 3 wives and numerous concubines . read Genesis 20-12, Genesis 16-15, Genesis 25-11, Genesis 25-6. Gen 20:7

    Jesus said about him:

John 8: 39They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham's children, ye would do the works of Abraham.

-prophet Jacob He had 4 wives ,read:

    Genesis 29:29-30,Genesis 30:4-9.

    - prophet Gideon had many wives :

Judges 8 30And Gideon had threescore and ten sons of his body begotten: for he had many wives. 31And his concubine that was in Shechem, she also bare him a son, whose name he called Abimelech

prophet Nathan also the same thing, read :2 Samuel:12-25,2 Samuel:12-8

I do not think all these prophets were bad role models !!

having a girl friend is not adultery ?!! what r u talking about ?! having sex with out marriage is not adultery ?!

i think i am chatting with Satan or one of his followers .

since you know answering Christianity, then why don't you check their refutation of your perverted priests instead of repeating them for us here ?!

you are a waste of time .

  • @jacobnainan777

Sons of Adam were marrying their sisters so do u marry your sister?! We do not take our laws from Adam or his actions

the law (sharia) controls us . polygamy as i said before was common during the time of Adam.

    Genesis 4:

19And Lamech took unto him two wives: the name of the one was Adah, and the name of the other Zillah.

  • @jacobnainan777

No, The heart of prophet Moses pbuh did not suffer , this is one of the jews fabrication against him and against God himslef,The God of the bible (according to the writers of the bible was not merciful not Moses .he has no heart at all, he commanded moses to kill everything that breath and rape all women :Numbers 31:7,17-18
