With Love From An American

They wake up every morning
Where they never thought they'd roam
Their loved ones so many miles away
Faithfully prayin' for a safe return home.
With dusty boots, worn fatigues
They roll out for the day

Never knowing what's ahead
On angels' wings they fly
The courage that they show inspires us all
Yeah, fighting for our freedom
And never askin' why
God bless our unsung heroes
Who answer freedom's call

So, take a moment from your busy life
Let them know that you care, yeah
A Soldiers life ain't easy, no
Show them you understand
Send them a letter, a care package, and a song
And sign it "With Love, From An American".

They serve in remote places
Where life is pretty tough
Missin' things we take for granted every day
It's the little things in life
That they can't get enough of
Simple reminders of the good ol' U.S.A.

They're battle-weary soldiers
'Cause war's a living hell
They need to know they're always on our minds
Oh, we say that we support them
But it's sometimes hard to tell
We need to show them
Through our actions all the time

I have two very ambitious Girl Scouts who have set a very high goal of donating 5000 boxes of Girl Scout cookies to our U.S. Military troops. We live in a town with less than 2700 in population and need help with donations and help spreading the word. Please show this video to everyone you know and help us spread the word to show the men and women of our U.S. Military that we really do appreciate all they do for us everyday.
