Latest Australian modifications to the Minelab GP series of prospecting metal detectors. This one is a 3500 and has the higher frequency range mod, the internal sensitivity mod and the clock speed mod all done. They add to the sensitivity and depth of most target sizes. Here I have taken the modded 3500 to a well known small area that has produced well over 50 pieces of gold up to half ounce (that I know of). It is highly mineralised and has a high amount of EM interference present. The results speak for themselves. Sorry, I ran out of memory card space whilst I was finishing with the 1st small target (bit of rusty steel) and had to show the targets after being dug. Next video will not have this problem ;-) If you want to know more about the mods, please email me.

  • Hi Guys,

this area supplies those 'wow' bursts every half hour or so. Once you move more than half a kay, they vanish. The tower supplies phone, HF, UHF and VHF traffic. Must be related to the transmissions from it as they aint nowhere else!

Sorry Ismael about naming your old business, not the new one :-(

  • nice vid. the ground must be really hot there. 1/2 gm piece @ 4" and it was missed by other units? If you found all metal in pounded area that the mod sounds like it's doing a decent job to me.

  • sorry but cant see that as a good comparison, you can always re do ground and and find more, doesnt mean your modded one is better than a 4500. But if your 4500's couldnt find those targets id be sending them back, mine would crap them in. check out my vid and see what a good 4500 does with a half gram nugget at 10 inches, not 3 or 4. Maybe i just got lucky and got a special one i dont know, but those would be a piece of cake for my machine. That machine also didnt sound very stable either?

  • Is that 3500 modded by woody?

I have an extreme done by him and i am very impressed.

    Chris.

  • Yes sounded more like that. I don't imagine Mwave Tower do spurious burst like that? Thanks Wombat for showing what the mods can do.

Regards Ismael Jones Minelabmods, not Sakina Technologies

  • The EMI spike is more than likely courtesy of a lightening strike a 1000 K away.
