Here's a partial live performance of Nada Surf at Mercury Lounge NYC performing "Treading Water" from the incredible album "Let Go" released in October of the 2002.
Massive blizzard hit NYC on this night and of it was a perfect cue for them to start the show with "Blizzard of '77". This is from later in that show. The pictures are actually from right after the show, trying in vain to find a cab.
I was inspired to cut this in honor of their new release this week and their string of "album" shows this week. I will be at the Bell House for their performance of "The Weight is a Gift".
This was recorded on a Canon Powershot S230 and the audio sucks, which is why I spliced in moments of the real track in places. I know the audio sucks, but it's for posterity!
