I used blender 2.61 to make the video for this, making use of the bake to f-curve feature. And then used the Video Sequence Editor to compile the separate clips and music.

I recorded the song with Audacity using a Line6 TonePort UX1 and its GearBox plugin.

Track Title: Ion
Album Name: KingCold
Artist: JoaoYates

Hope you enjoy!

  • @airsofteer Great suggestion man, I'll keep that in mind for the next render of one of my songs. Thanks for the comment!

  • @JoaoYates I agree with @airsofteer - Something in addition, though, is some smooth camera motion to show more of the animated surface. For aesthetic value, maybe some smooth fades could help the final video to go with the smooth music.

  • @101blender Yup, good ideas man. I'll remember that for my next one, I intend to upload a new song pretty soon. Thanks for the comment!

  • great job, man!

  • Interesting idea. I think the end result may have been more interesting if you had given the curve an offset based on time. Regardless, nice music and nice render.
