What are RSS Feeds? (Cookie Explanation)

- Let me try and explain this RSSstuff in a different way.
- Ok, so let's use the example of mydiabetes.com website, yeah?
- We've got our social network and let's pretend this biscuit is our social network and this is all the content in our social network, yeah?
- What we do - is kind of making an exact copy of that so we've got all the content separate, yeah?
- And then we are gonna set a new website, so this website might be just about friends, this new website might just be about family members, and this new web site might be about, I don't know.
- What it could be about?
- Healthcare professionals.
- So what we do then, whatever is in here what we do is
- We say, so, we'll set up an RSS feed and say Ok ...
- So this one is about friends, so we'll put information about friends that will go to that one.
- For someone looking for just about friends of diabetes they may be under there.
- This one is about family members so any information about family members will feed into that one, and this one is about healthcare professionals, yeah?
- And also any information about healthcare professionals will feed into that one.
- Now, the really clever thing this is RSS, yea , using RSS, Really Simple Syndication.
- The realy clever thing is that so any time any new content feeds here will automatically feed into the correct sites.
- In terms of how revenue is generated then, you know, we've got the content here that can generate revenue and the content there.
- And that my friends is RSS explained by a regular biscuit!!!
