why isnt this used on modern trucks then?
-
that is some nice stability

As much as that is cool, it makes me wonder about drivers that would think they would be immune and just high ball it out there thinking...I'll never jack knife, i can go through the winters with no problems...It is cool techno stuff...I just hope it does not take away from the skills built up by the driver over years of experience.

The best protection against a jack-knife is body armor, I know this because I have been there.

@gfiocco12 Could be Knorr-Bremse or WABCO! I believe, after hearing what was said about America in the video, that it'd be WABCO!

That's a 2435 'Benz, right??? What isthe engine under the cab of this thing???
-
@PauliusBa That's the point.

it looks like a very good set up for new drivers and the simple minded ones but in the ice and snow i like control of everything i don't like anything limiting my driving electrical or mechanical

awesome. i heard about this on a bosch course and thought the guy was makin shit up. it is a clever torsion bar set up that operates the brakes on the side with the most weight. similar to stability control but mechanical. all modifications are to trailer.

Is this device commercially available? Who builds it?
It's what the truck isn't doing! Most semi-truckers when driven like that would of jackknifed and flipped over.
