  • Yea, heard that before. Blue vs Red.

BTW: Hornady stuff will work on Dillon, but the Dillon interlock lever has no place to attach to a Hornady.

  • I just got the Hornady Bullet Feeder. while looking threw there paper work I noticed on page 8 they have a stop almost the same as yours. They call it the PTX Powder Measure Stop Adjustment. However when I went to look at it on there web site it is not there. Dose not seem you can get it anywhere. You know anything about this?

  • @intercepter01 : Yes. I sent them my design, and they are manufacturing it. It seems the part number is 290049. Try calling Hornady, and asking to get one, if you can find them online. Lots of obscure parts are only available via phone.

  • @gr8jab i hope they give you a % for each they sell with it :p

  • @gr8jab your right I did think about the where to hook up the return lever for the powder measure. just trying to help

  • dillon has a better setup--powder measure, expander- powder thru, and powder die, should fit right on your LNL, less than 95.00

  • @TacticalJunkie No, you haven't misunderstood. Search the Hornady site for PTX. I found them right away. Yes, you can skip the expander die if you get the PTX.

Yes, the thread from 2008 is correct. The PTX does not work very well. They have redesigned it a little. The big problem is adjusting everything to get enough force to put a good bell on the case. The slider bar in my video is a better method to quickly and accurately adjust the bell. It fixed all my PTX problems.

  • @gr8jab i found a forum talking about the PTX insert. It was from 2008, but people were complaining that it barely flared the case mouth enough to accept a bullet. So people were having problems, and ended up going back to a dedicated expander die in station 2. I'm hoping this is not a problem anymore with maybe newer inserts since this problem was from 2008.

  • @gr8jab Yes, that helps alot. i could not find information anywhere that stated that. So i was gonna waste one of my stations by getting an expander die. No where on the hornady website does it say that the included powder thru die body was also able to expand the case, nor does it show anything about the inserts. Hopefully i havent misunderstood you, but it looks like if i get the insert, i wont have to buy an expander die, hope i got it right, thanks for your help, might need you again soon :)

  • @TacticalJunkie Yes, the standard powder measure die is used. There are different inserts/funnels that hit the case. If you use a flat insert, it does not expand, only activates the powder measure. If you buy the PTX insert, it replaces the flat insert, and expands the case and activates the powder measure. Hope that helps.
