Those were the days - when the production team made horse racing TV programmes for horse racing fans - not for women that hit the wrong number on their remote looking for ITV1, people tuning in early waiting for countdown ! Remember when Saturdays coverage was 3pm to 5pm - so you could watch the early BBC races and then switch to Ch4's races - those were the days - sadly lost forever !
