The current system actually places the planet and humanity and all life forms at risk. Depletion of the Earth's resources is a sin unto GOD. The Gulf of Mexico Oil Leak-Spill is a judgment of the LORD GOD. Psalm 104 tells us that all flesh returns to dust at death. When people speak of the arrogance of the religious, those who praise themselves for their humility, this is just the kind of thing; sounding off about things you do not know, pretending to know things that you just don't.

I don't know just how anti-science you are, just how much scientific knowledge you deny in order to try and defend religious beliefs - you could be a young-earth creationist - but just saying fossil fuels are not from fossils doesn't make it true.

LOL you need to actually read the bible and not just go by what all these so called "christians" say. The creationists try to get you to believe everything was created in a 6 24 hour days. The bible does not say that. "there came to be morning and evening, a first day" A "day" in the bible can mean a period of time (24 hours, a year, a thousand years, 100,000 years who knows).  The bible and scientific FACT go hand in hand..not scientific theory

The Earth produces oil, I dont know how anyone can believe oil comes from decaying animals...cmon.

In any case, I'm glad you're not angry; I don't like to upset people although I know I can be a bit brusque. However, offence is irrevelant when searching for truth.

One post of mine didn't make it. Re the idea that tapping oil, etc., is causing tectonic instabilities, I used to think something similar but found out what man taps is too tiny to be significant compared with the vast pressures and volumes of magma, etc., under the crust.

There could not have been enough dinosaurs? Well, dinosaurs were around, many species living and becoming extinct, for around 130 million years. Anyway, more plant life and tiny animal life (plankton) was involved in making oil and gas, than dinosaurs. Fossils are visible as part of coal.

Pitch is not crude oil. Perhaps you were thinking of tar - also not crude oil.

*Believe* what you like but ask a petroleum geologist if you want to *know*, not an ancient collection of desert folktales.

You refer to your bible as god's word. Do you tell a leprosy patient to shun medical treatment and get a priest to do a mumbo-jumbo ritual sprinkling a blood sacrifice on him with herbs and a stick? God told Moses that one directly in Leviticus. Your book teaches that illness is caused by demons, that the moon, sun & stars are lights created in an instant & fixed in a dome over us, that the earth never moves. We know better now.

If a supreme creator wrote a book it would be accurate.
