I'v read the whole manga and watched half of the movie.

I have one word to say: Amazing. :DD I loved the manga more then the film (Part of the reason I only watched half) But it was still good. :I

Anyone else thinks this is somehow similar to Elfen Lied?

I mean the psychic mindfuck, the virus stuff and so on...

I think they both are comparable and both masterworks of their art.

And yes, piecing the things in this movie together takes some time as it has more plot twists than everything in M. Night. Shyamalanalanalanalan's career.

Lain on the other hand doesn't even tell you where you are within the story... Ah. You get the gist. Congrats on one of the top comments btw.

almost finished with the manga :D. i was thinking of checking out this movie next but i don't like how they did all of the monsters in CGI. they look out of place.

they should have stuck with the original plot from the manga. I just didnt like how many artistic liberties that they took with the film. It feels like a completely different and much duller piece of work than it could have been. I mean why did they have to go as far as removing all of the interesting elements from the plot like the zeus antagonist and the whole creation of matter through dreams, Frankly it just annoys to a larger extent then it may to others. but that's just my two cents.
