  • It's kinda sad they eat other primates there. I wonder how many other mammals hunt and eat members of their own class. Cats don't hunt and eat other cats for example.

  • Actually that is not true. Wolves and coyotes eat dogs. Cougars eat cats, dogs or whatever. Adult male bears eat the cubs. Fish eat smaller fish. It is all part of living in the woods as we do.

  • I don't eat meat, would it be possible that monkey flesh could taste similar to human flesh?

And what does monkey flesh taste like?

I don't eat animals, but I would love to know what monkey flesh taste like

  • For some reason I don't believe that baby monkey lasted long after the white folks left....

  • @WFOturner PETA can cram it, will PETA provide these people with food, "humane" food such as tofu and celery? don't think so. Plus they'd get their asses darted if they show up there with tofu!

    Ron was amazing!

  • @spence0324 True, but these people don't see it as "survival" it's just daily life, the jungle supplies, as simple as that.

  • PETA would love to show this @ there next rally! You & your vids will be missed Ron.

  • @Slamaxe I know your comment is a year old, but I wanted to add, Monkeys eat monkeys. If a baby is born without a hand, foot, etc, the mama will eat it alive. Chimps, (apes, not a monkey) eat baby monkeys all the time. If you eat veal, you eat a baby cow. I see little difference, from eating veal then cooking up the baby.

At 3:04, I thought of Han Solo saying, "And I thought they smelled bad, on the outside." Did you offer the baby any?

  • Actually the baby has a better chance of survival now. In the wild they only have a less then 40% chance. A new leader will kill the babies that aren't his. If food or water gets scarce the troop will run off leaving the babies to die or become prey. Other animals that eat monkeys like the babies because they are more tender. The baby will only miss mama for a short while, then it will adapt to it's new family. I'll bet it stinks when they burn the fur off!

  • I have a dream of travelling far and wide seeing the many walks of life. But due to the constraints society has put upon us I feel as though I would never have the resources to do it (money, equipment, linguistic skills etc.). I was wondering how you went about your trip to the amazon? Where you paid to go and explore or did you go on limited funds or what? I would really like to know. :)

  • i know when it comes to survival you do what you need to in order to but it just seems wrong to eat other primates

  • Do we keep the baby to eat later? Yum Yum
