Now that we have a good camera, an awesome mic and some time, we are going to begin a few attempts at making videos exhibiting Taijutsu. All constructive comments are welcome as we will improve our methods for future episodes.

Please do not practice unless in good health and with a qualified instructor. These techniques can be harmful.

  • If you *actually* want people to contact you, you should put that stupid font effect you use to work and display the e-mail addresses in text.

Perhaps it's because you were nervous, but the both of you blert out the contact information so poorly that you may as well have left it out of the video.

  • @chipnailer Meh, being in front of the camera you have a tendency to rush things and talk really fast. The great thing about youtube is we have an inbox. However, including our contact info with the font is a good idea...

  • Ahhh the Arizona background let me guess tucson?

  • Indeed... That you lurking in the bushes?

  • The hand position is called "Kiten-ken" the striking action is called shuto.

  • Thank you for the correction. Please feel free to add any others, we do not wish to mislead people.

  • @lilhawk2892 What is wrong with putting the belts on the ground? what was about formalities? i'm having trouble understanding what you are saying.

  • omg you not only put your belts on the ground but stepped on them? im sorry but that seems a bit much lol. on a side note i never saw the ready stance from that angle. i always thought it was about formalities

  • @Myderion I suppose that's why you practice and train. To condition your body to feel natural when it would otherwise feel un-natural.

  • @Myderion Obviously from my last post I don't know anything at all about Shaolin (as you can see from my last reply to you). I do know quite a bit about Koryu-ryu (classical Japanese martial arts). Feel free to ask me anything about it.

  • @Myderion the feet are at 45 degree angles to give you a wider area of balance, so you can reverse your stance if you need to, and it allows you a wider range of direction for ukemi and kaiten.

  • @SSJLIGHT all fights are sloppy and brutal. The closer to real life combat it is the more sloppy and brutal it becomes. Though real life "survival" combat is much shorter in duration.

  • @BujinkanMartialArts again we were rushing and nervous as this was our first attempt. Mistakes are made.

  • @chipnailer This was our first attempt at teaching with a camera in front of us. I was quite nervous actually. I don't know what it is about cameras. I can be surrounded by people and be fine, but a camera can be nerve wracking for me.

  • @SlowBeeDies I have an AA in Japanese. i think i have a pretty good grasp....baka
