all the notes are there but very bad pedalling, too fast, no emotion, oh and the piano needs tuning

I'm sure that your parents are happy that you got all of the notes right, and that there money was well spent to get you to the head of the class. Try to listen and feel it, let your soul and heart move your hands.
This is really something that you can't get from a teacher
