For those getting a 1604 and 1601 error when resotring their ipods after pre jailbreaking, if you have the C dist installed, are using the correct unaltered 2.2.1 firmware and are not using cutom boot logo's this is most likely your fix, your not properly in DFU, to get into dfu hold home and power for 10 secs or until your computer plas remove hardware sound and then let go of power and hold home until your computer plays hardware connected sound, this will put your ipod into dfu, hopefully this is your fix!

  • @kamboi Thanks bro! This actually worked!

  • @deejaywdy oh ae? thats weird it should detect the ipod in recovery mode again lol.. did ya keep iReb running?

  • @kamboi When you kill itunes and re open the ipod is not reconised i have to keep putting it into dfu eveytime i open itunes.

  • Workin 1601 fix.. Put iphone/ipod on DFU PWNd with iReb, open up itunes and shift restore your firmware. After the extracting then it will restore, after that you will hear the USB connection sound (the sound wen u plug in a usb device) wen u hear that, kill Itunes.exe with task manager (CTRL+ALT+DEL) keep ireb runing, re open itunes again and shift restore again, this time ur iphone/ipod DFU will light up :).. once again kill itunes after usb sound. then run itunes again n repeat, FIXED! !
