I first heard that song on the documentary Time Was with Dick Cavett in 1979 when he described 1920's consumerism. On the Color Purple I thought that song was played by King Oliver when one of the characters was beginning to play that record.

Is the record player a bit fast? Most other versions of this recording are slower than this- but other recordings of this song are usually faster.

I'm only asking even though I have the dvd, the imdb soundtrack page only has the songs written by Terry Gillium. Even the soundtrack itself doesn't have the Whiteman music... It's a shame. I rather like it.
