Revisiting the Economic Case for Globalization
Financial liberalization has on average benefited the world economy, but the actual experience of deregulation has also been fraught with some severe negative consequences.
1) Should liberalization be implemented more comprehensively? What role should the state play in regulating markets?
2) Have recent problems been due to a failure of execution, or of conception?
3) What alternatives to the "Washington Consensus" exist to guide developing economies and deliver results for people?
